On 2 September 2026, the Portuguese Lohan Tao Kempo Federation (FPLK), in cooperation with the Portuguese Anti-Doping Authority (ADoP), held an online anti-doping education session specifically addressed to Kempo coaches.

The session was delivered by Professor Ricardo Godinho, Head of the Education and Information Department of ADoP, and focused on essential areas of anti-doping education and the responsibilities of coaches within the sporting environment.

The programme covered key topics including coaches’ rights and responsibilities, the Prohibited List, supplementation and associated risks, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), the doping control process, and the responsibilities of coaches towards their athletes.

Through this initiative, the FPLK continues to promote a culture based on education, ethics, prevention and athlete protection, strengthening the role of coaches as an essential part of the fight against doping and the promotion of clean sport.

The International Kempo Federation (IKF) welcomes initiatives of this nature, which contribute to the development of a responsible, informed and integrity-driven international Kempo community.
