The Medical & Anti-Doping Commission is essential to the international credibility of the Federation. Is responsible for safeguarding athlete health, implementing anti-doping policies, and ensuring compliance with international medical and anti-doping standards within IKF.
1. Athlete Health & Safety
- establishes mandatory medical protocols for competitions and training activities
- defines requirements related to medical examinations and fitness to compete
- supervises the presence of medical personnel at events
2. Anti-Doping Policies
- develops and implements anti-doping regulations
- aligns the Federation with the World Anti-Doping Code (WADA)
- cooperates with national and international anti-doping agencies
3. Control, Testing & Procedures
- coordinates procedures for in-competition and out-of-competition testing and results management
- ensures respect for confidentiality and athletes’ rights
4. Medical Education & Prevention
- develops educational programs related to the risks of doping, dietary supplements and injury prevention
- cooperates with the Education & Development Committee
5. Medical Advisory & Decision-Making
- provides medical expertise for regulatory amendments and special situations (serious injuries, medical suspensions)
- may issue official medical opinions to the Federation
