Sanda Zaharia (Romania) is an accomplished martial artist and sports professional with a distinguished competitive, educational, and coaching background in Kempo. She is recognized as the first female World Champion in the history of Romanian Kempo, having achieved multiple world titles at international level, reflecting long-term involvement in high-performance sport.

She holds the title of Master of Sport (Emeritus) and is a graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, as well as holder of a Master’s degree in Sport Science, combining competitive excellence with advanced academic training.

In addition to her competitive achievements, Sanda Zaharia has been actively involved in coaching and officiating at national, European, and world-level events, contributing to athlete development and the advancement of competitive standards within Kempo.

She currently serves as Director of the Fighting Kempo Committee and Media & Public Communications Director of the International Kempo Federation (IKF), contributing to competition structures, institutional communication, and organizational transparency.

Her professional activity also includes sustained involvement in sport-based social and educational programs, supporting youth development, inclusion, and the promotion of ethical values through sport.

Her contributions have been recognized through national honors, including the title of Distinguished Coach awarded by the Romanian Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Order of Sporting Merit conferred by the President of Romania.
