The Elite Athletes Commission represents elite-level athletes within the Federation and advises on matters related to high performance, professional standards, athlete welfare, and the promotion of the sport’s elite image.
1. Representation of Elite Athletes
- represents the interests of top-level athletes in their relationship with the Federation
- provides an official channel of dialogue between athletes and the Federation’s leadership
- formulates proposals regarding regulations, competitions, and the competition calendar
2. Image & Representation
- selects athletes who embody the professional image of the sport
- contributes to the promotion of core values: excellence, discipline, and respect
- supports communication campaigns, official events, and public representation
3. Elite Standards
- defines criteria for “elite athlete” status (results, conduct, professionalism, fair play)
- monitors compliance with these standards
- may recommend the suspension or withdrawal of elite status
4. Strategic Advisory Role
- acts in an advisory capacity in major Federation decisions
- provides feedback on the development of high-performance sport
- contributes to strategies related to professionalization and internationalization
5. Athlete Protection & Welfare
- supports policies related to athlete health, post-competitive career development and work–life balance in high-performance sport
- cooperates with other commissions (Medical, Education, Athletes’ Entourage)
