The Youth Development Committee is responsible for shaping the next generation, promoting, coordinating, and supporting the development, education, and protection of young athletes, ensuring a sustainable future for the sport within IKF.
1. Development of Young Athletes
- creates and coordinates programs dedicated to children, juniors and youth
- supports clear development pathways:
initiation → performance → elite
2. Education & Values
- promotes discipline, fair play, respect and martial spirit
- contributes to character development, not only to sporting performance
3. Safety & Protection
- establishes policies for the protection of minors, the prevention of abuse, physical and psychological safety
- cooperates with the Medical & Anti-Doping Commission and the Disciplinary & Ethics Commission
4. Youth Programs & Competitions
- develops age-appropriate competition formats
- coordinates youth leagues, championships, and events
- cooperates with the Competition & Logistics Commission
5. Support for Member Federations
- provides guidelines and best practices for clubs and national federations
- supports the development of local youth programs
