TAFISA: (The Association for International Sport for All)
Is an organization with more than 270 members from more than 150 countries on all continents,
TAFISA strives for an active world by promoting and facilitating access for all to “Sport for All” and physical activity worldwide.
In order to encourage as many people around the world as possible to participate in “Sport for All” and exercise, TAFISA has developed a wide variety of programs and events, ranging from one-day physical activities to targeted, educational programs.
TAFISA World Sport for All Games (in short: TAFISA World Games):
Held every four years since 1992, the festival aims to protect and promote traditional sports and games.
The most successful events, held in Busan, South Korea, in 2008 and Siauliai, Lithuania, in 2012, both attracted more than 8,000 participants from around the world.
The 6th TAFISA World Sport for All Games 2016 was hosted by TAFISA member Indonesia and took place in Jakarta. 12,000 athletes from 87 countries in 62 sports took part in these TAFISA World Sports Games.
This year the TAFISA World Games 2020 was to be held in Portugal, but this was also canceled due to the Corona.
The next TAFISA World Sport for All Games will take place June 18-24, 2021 in Lisbon, Portugal.
